- 5. I have questions regarding the show's characters, storyline, etc. that I'd really like to ask. Can you help?
- Why yes... yes we can. Please stop by the DISCUSS IT section to access the Bat Board, where many BAT BOY experts lurk. They can answer all your questions regarding the show's intricacies, characters and plot points. Otherwise, just come by to say hello or report on a recent production of Bat Boy that you've seen. It's a slightly off-center crowd, but mostly good-natured.

- 6. Help! I'm auditioning for the role of __________ in a production of BAT BOY. What should I sing?
- Frequent suggestions we hear are songs from JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, "Donna" from HAIR, pieces from EVITA (especially "The Lady's Got Potential" or "Money Kept Rollin' In"). Deven May won the role as the original Bat Boy by singing "Anthem" from CHESS.

- 7. I've heard Bat Boy described as a wonderful parody of musicals. What shows does it mostly send up?
- D'oh! To paraphrase the book authors and composer, the show is NOT a parody and no parodic elements were placed anywhere in the written work. The real-life Bat Boy himself stated in an interview with Dramatists Play Service's Robert Vaughn, "The tunes, the lyrics and the story are all original, and if anyone disagrees, I shall be happy to debate them, refute them, saw through their rib cage with my incisors and extract their juicy spleen." What's more... he meant it.

- 8. What is Bat Boy's secret?
- If we tell you, we'd have to kill you. But seriously, though. We don't want to ruin it for you. So you'll either have to buy the book or see the show. You can try to ask on the BAT BOARD, but those people are even more protective of that info than we are. Sorry.
